Lockdown video call lunches with celebs.

With punters staying indoors, and relying on deliveries to get their burrito fix, US chain Chipotle Mexican Grill offered a series of videocall lunches with celebrities. Chipotle’s Twitter feed has around one million followers and plays a strong, sassy game, with friendly and familiar interaction with followers throughout. In that spirit their quarantine series “Chipotle Together” was offered to 3000 lucky fans apiece.

The first famed guest was Colton Underwood, star of US dating reality show “The Bachelor”. Further guests included singer Luke Bryan, among others typically associated with the brand’s target audiences. The streamed calls were hosted by remote meeting platform Zoom and involved content relevant to Chipotle, allowing punters the chance to chat and interact with the stars. The California-based “fast-casual” dining chain, with over 2000 locations nationwide, also offered free deliveries on orders of $10 or more.
